Roop Pal is a software engineer at Google working on LiDAR machine learning.
Roop dropped out of high school at 15 to attend Bard College at Simon’s Rock. Roop received a BA in Computer Science from Simon’s Rock and BS in Computer Science, Intelligent Systems from Columbia University in 2017, after completing a 5 year dual-degree program early.
Roop is an applied machine learning engineer focusing on problems in computer vision and robotics. After graduating, he joined Google and worked on semantic object detection on LiDAR data.
